Event Manager Responsibilities: The event managers will need to have availability to work sporting events during fall, winter and spring seasons (including Saturdays). The Athletic Director will assign games that need to be work prior to the season beginning. Some of the  responsibilities for the Event Mangers are listed below:

  • Pre-Event Planning: Coordinate with school administration, coaches, officials, and other relevant parties to plan and prepare for upcoming games or events. This includes scheduling, venue setup, equipment availability, and staffing needs.
  • Venue Preparation: Ensure that the venue is properly set up and ready for the event. This involves arranging seating, signage, and any necessary equipment, as well as ensuring that facilities such as restrooms and concessions are accessible and well-maintained.
  • Game Operations: Oversee all aspects of game-day operations, including pre-game activities, player warm-ups, halftime entertainment, and post-game procedures. Coordinate with referees/umpires, announcers, scoreboard operators, and other game personnel to ensure that everything runs smoothly.
  • Fan Engagement: Create a welcoming and enjoyable atmosphere for spectators by organizing promotional activities, entertainment, and fan engagement initiatives. Encourage positive interactions between fans and participants and address any concerns or issues that may arise during the event.
  • Safety and Security: Prioritize the safety and security of players, officials, staff, and spectators at all times. Implement and enforce crowd control measures, emergency response protocols, and other safety procedures to minimize risks and ensure a safe environment for everyone involved.
  • Communication: Maintain open and effective communication with all stakeholders before, during, and after the event. Provide clear instructions and updates as needed, address any questions or concerns in a timely manner, and collaborate with other staff members to resolve any issues that may arise.
  • Problem-solving: Be prepared to handle unexpected challenges or emergencies that may arise during the event, such as inclement weather, equipment malfunctions, or crowd disturbances. Remain calm, resourceful, and proactive in finding solutions to ensure that the event can proceed as smoothly as possible.
  • Post-Event Evaluation: After the event, conduct a thorough evaluation to assess its success and identify areas for improvement. Gather feedback from stakeholders, analyze attendance and revenue data, and document any lessons learned or recommendations for future events.
